🖤 We love the way Whereby detail an actual vision and philosophy around what flexible working means to them. It builds confidence, clarity and trust, and we also love that they dedicate space to talking specifically about working hours, but also go deeper in their explanation (E.g. the ‘what does this mean’ section). This is an excellent example to follow and something like this should be clearly linked and signposted from every job advert.

Our vision at Whereby is a future where "anywhere" works.
This means we believe in the power of distributed working in our own team, taking our own medicine and finding ways to build a remote-first company which allows our team to manage how they work, when they work, and where they work.
Working from everywhere also means the times in which we do our work becomes less critical. This is because we have people working from California to Czech Republic, it simply doesn't make sense to require everyone to strictly work from 9 to 5 where they are.
For this reason, we adopt a flexible working approach, and are "hours agnostic".
<aside> 💡 What does that mean? At its core, Hours Agnostic is a working schedule which allows our team to choose when to start and end their workday, and/or how long to take their break for.
