Disclaimer: The purpose of this policy is to focus on the health of those who require abortions, and the decisions they make about their own bodies. We recognize this is very hard and fully understand that many of you might not have the same view or the accessibility to these rights. We have so much empathy and compassion for those that do not have access to these types of Human Rights.
This is a guideline and information hub that could be helpful to any Remoter. If this is something that does not affect you right now, consider this an opportunity to learn about abortion rights, and reproductive health or potentially enable you to help a friend, a family member, or even a young teenager in the future.
Asking for help from a People/HR team when it comes to abortion or other very private medical and personal needs, is not something we expect whatsoever, we are however here to help you if you decide to reach out to us.

This article might help you understand why abortion rights are important for all people who can become pregnant around the world. It is filled with facts and information about why this matters. A reminder again, you have the right to your own views, we are sharing this to create awareness at Remote. Where abortion is illegal and unsafe, people who need abortions are forced to carry unwanted pregnancies to term or suffer serious health consequences and even death. Approximately 13 percent of pregnancy-related deaths worldwide are attributable to unsafe abortion—between 68,000 and 78,000 deaths annually (source).
