Goals 🎯
Everything we’re doing here is for our internal use within our team. Some of this will end up being used externally within Oyster, but your mindset should be entirely internal today.
- To ensure we have properly scoped each project and have not missed any key pieces of work or dependencies and/or blockers
- To ensure we all fully appreciate the scope of work we are potentially committing to
- To discuss what pieces of work as “must-do’s” what are really “must-do’s”
- To flex our prioritisation muscles in a way that allows us to start thinking more iteratively about the work we do
- To gain clarity on roles, responsibilities and where they overlap
- To come together and get used to being a new team together! 🙌
Why? 🤔
- We are the “how we work” team. We need to be a centre of excellence when it comes to this. This is a great opportunity for us to start modelling these behaviours for the rest of the company
- We are going to be at the forefront of maybe one of the most significant growth trajectories in tech in the last decade. We need to get good at this for our own sanity and others
- Just like the rest of the business, our team is going to grow significant this year. Let’s get the team foundations down for their sake
