Prolific’s Trans Inclusion Policy is for anyone who is either questioning their gender, has decided to transition, or is already transitioning, and needs support or information.
The policy is in place to support an employee during what can be a really difficult time.
We want everyone to feel comfortable talking to their manager or someone from the People team about any situation they might be going through. We're an inclusive company and want to make sure everyone feels heard and supported.
Your privacy during this time is very important to us and so the People team will not share any information (externally or within the company) without your permission in accordance with the Equality Act.
We take transphobia seriously and so have a Transphobia Policy. If you experience any sort of transphobia, please report it to [email protected].
With your content, we’ll help support you:
We’re aware that sadly, most of the UK private medical insurers are not inclusive of those who are transgender or questioning their gender and Bupa (our private healthcare provider), unfortunately, does not offer gender-affirming therapy or any other type of trans support 😔
Because of this reason, Prolific has in place an inclusive healthcare policy in place where we can opt you out of private healthcare and cover the cost of treatment elsewhere.
We’ll cover you up to the cost of what your private healthcare cost would have been.
